FOR EMPLOYERS THAT ARE HIRING
Members can post a job on theĀ Leduc Wetaskiwin Job Page, gain knowledge from Human Resources experts. Or find funding programs for staff or staff training and hire students help your business while they gain the experience they need.

Youth Employment ProgramĀ provides financial assistance to hire a student or young graduate to work on a business, technical, or technology-related projects to help you:
oĀ Ā Ā advance research and development, engineering and multimedia activities
oĀ Ā Ā develop new products and processes
oĀ Ā Ā conduct market analyses for new technology-based products
oĀ Ā Ā support business development related to science and technology activities
oĀ Ā Ā improve customer services
Rupertsland InstituteĀ Employment Partnership- Up to 50% of wages covered for Metis workers who have the accreditation but not the work experience to find meaningful work
Youth Summer Employment- summer employment (May through August) for ages 15-30. This program covers 50% of wages
WIL DigitalĀ helps employers grow their businesses by providing financial assistance for hiring post-secondary students. It provides:

Housing Internship Initiative for First Nations and Inuit YouthĀ If your business is in the housing industry this program provides on-the-job training for First Nation and Inuit youth along with a wage subsidy. Available for āyouthsā between the ages of 15 and 30.
Graduate Student Internship Program- University of AlbertaĀ provides funding for employers to hire a graduate student to solve a staffing or business need. Employers in all sectors can participate, including private, public and not-for-profit. You can receive 50 cents on every dollar you can put towards a student's salary (Up to $8,000)
AcadiumĀ In exchange for your coaching and guidance, Acadium apprenticeās help you with your projects, unpaid, as part of their training. Your business pays $299 per credit which is good for a 3 month volunteer.
University of Alberta Internship and Work Experience ProgramsĀ if youāre looking to hire a student for an internship or work experience
University of Calgary Transformative Talent InternshipsĀ if you can provide meaningful work for a student intern.
School of Retailing Consulting Group- University of AlbertaĀ get University students to do consulting work for you including Primary Market Research, Strategic Planning, Social Media Strategy, Brand Awareness Strategy, Branding, Website Creation.
Venture for Canada Internship ProgramĀ Are you an employer looking to hire an intern or a recent graduate from a post-secondary institution? Employers may qualify for a 70% subsidy, capped at $7,000. New cohorts of interns are placed every September, January, and May.
