Small Business Support Program
The Chamber’s Small Business Support Program provides necessary support to various types of businesses at various stages. Whether you are a: small business wanting to grow, a startup, an entrepreneur with an idea, a newcomer to the area, a home-based business, or a downtown business...Basically any business owner with under approximately 5 employees looking for tools, strategies and training to help get established, build a strong foundation or grow to the next stage.
Startup Leduc Wetaskiwin offers several key resources for small business support in the Leduc and Wetaskiwin regions:
One-on-one consultations: Provides opportunities to connect and discuss steps for starting a new business, pursuing business ideas, or addressing questions from new small business owners
1. Networking opportunities: The organization offers a space for entrepreneurs, small business owners, and home business owners to connect, share experiences, and learn from local business professionals
2. Educational programs: They provide resources to expand business knowledge, aiming to give entrepreneurs a foundation for success
3. Business resources: A collection of curated resources is available to help direct business owners to appropriate support channels
4. Economic development focus: The organization's vision is to increase direct support for prospective and startup businesses, aiming to boost economic development and the longevity of locally owned businesses
5. These services are designed to support the local business community and foster a vibrant, healthy economic environment in the Leduc and Wetaskiwin regions.

PROGRAM SUPPORT OFFERS:
- In-person and in-community connections and training,
- Main Business Coach and Facilitator is also a local business owner who understands the challenges of running a small business
- Provides mentorship and connections to other local businesses for learning and accountability
- Support for newcomers starting a business
- Help with business RETENTION - so many organizations are about helping them get started but lets make sure they are built
to last - Help for home based businesses and storefronts
Our goal is to work with industry partners and experts to provide the small business resources. The small business support program is focused on diversifying from program and services that other amazing organizations like Community Futures, Business Link, and Futurprenuer offer. We will refer to these organizations along with local Economic Development offices whenever possible.
